Get MORE Done With LESS Hustling (80 20 Rule)

We are told to hustle our way to success in all aspects of life…but is that really the way? We are going to remove the hustling lies in the video above!

Maybe you don’t want to see or hear my Jones face (the struggle is real). Below is a transcript of the content in the video.

Hi, I’m Jones……MISTER Jones founder of “TheParetoCode.com”

Today I’m talking about “Hustling.” and why it’s so wrong.

Are you sick and tired of being told you need to hustle? Hustle Hustle Hustle your life away to achieve success. Your told its the “way to success” but it leaves most people with no success, and only the feeling of being tired and defeated.

We are going to remove the hustling lies in this video TODAY, with 3 Big Ideas. let’s get into it.

Today I’m going to remove the hustle lies and show you how to get MORE done with LESS hustling using Pareto’s 80 20 rule.

Nowadays we are told the ridiculous story that “if” you hustle 24/7 with an “i’ll rest when im dead” mindset, you will achieve all your dreams eventually in time. That, my friend, is one of the biggest lies of our time.

BIG IDEA 1

the WHY of the LIE

Any success story that you “think” was made through hustling is never what you think. People who succeed in life are definitely hard workers, but what made them a success is not the fact that they “hustled” but simply the fact that when they worked hard on a specific task for a specific purpose, at a specific time.

“Hustling” gives people the idea to “shoot first and aim second” which is basically relying on “luck” to get you through.

The reason “hustling” is such a lie is that it’s a general statement made without substance. Hustling pushes you to do everything hard and fast to just get it done. Keep Moving forwards even when your tired.

So what is the better solution? In a minute we are going to get into the 80 20 rule for more definition…but the better solution is to actually plan everything.

Instead of blindly firing “at the enemy” why not plan your attack and be 100 x more effective. That is not what hustling teaches, and the main issue with it. You can get much more done in less time by finding what is really important and focusing on what really matters.

Thats what the Pareto code is all about. Efficiency. Pin-pointing the right target before shooting at it. Let’s get into the next big idea to break this down further.

BIG IDEA 2

“The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail.” – Chuck Swindoll

…it’s all about the details.

Let me introduce you now to the 80 20 rule which is the foundation principle for “the pareto code” and right here is where it will shine.

The 80 20 rule simply stated is this. That 20% of your efforts = 80% of the results.

I go much deeper into this rule on “the pareto code” website…but let’s focus on why it matters on the topic of hustling.

Let’s do an “if-then” analysis here. “If” you use the pareto principle to find the 20% that really matters, “then” your efforts will take you much farther when you work.

Instead of working 24/7 on anything and everything you think is going towards your goals, your going to find what really matters and attack that first (and hard).

Anything else, especially in the beginning, is just wasting your time and efforts.

Imagine with me this scenario: You’re starting an online business. You love animals, especially hedgehogs.

You think hedgehogs are the “bees knees” and you want your life’s work to revolve around this love for them.

You decide on the name “Sonics Shoes” and want to make blue shoes with spikes on them called “sonic blues” (anything is possible).

Hustling might give you the idea that “everything needs to get done and be perfect before I start”. So you buy a website. Then spend days trying to figure out how to build it. Days turns into weeks as you get with Fiverr designers and work on how everything looks. The logo needs to be done, the colors on the site need to be good, the layout needs to make sense.

What about listing items for sale? And materials! you never thought about materials needed to make sonic blues. Gonna need some blue suede and a whole bunch of little spikes. Materials shipped in the mail is now taking months along with the perfect design of the site.

Finally half a year later in-between you working a full time job and getting outsourced help, your website is ready to launch!

So you launch. And nothing happens. 2 months go by. Nothing happens. But you hustled! You worked 40 hours a week at your job, and hustled another 40 on the side during the week and on weekends.

“Why arent I succeeding yet?” you might say. Here’s the thing. You jumped in 100% without pin-pointing the essentials first.

You hustled just like you were told, and are frustrated that its not happening the way you wanted it to.

What could you have done different? Maybe if you did a 80 20 Pareto “20 study” first, you would have figured what to work on first. This leads to the final idea…

BIG IDEA 3

SMART ACTION EQUALS BIG RESULTS

The biggest problem is the fact that no one knows about this fancy new website! If you pin-pointed whats essential first, you might have realized that marketing starts at the beginning. Getting a following, building an audience, and asking questions.

If you focused on content creation first, maybe you would have an audience to launch to! Instead of making a perfect website, finding the essential ingredients for a workable website might have been better.

Keeping the website simple and building an audience to launch to. You could have spent more time asking your audience questions about what kind of sonic shoe they want and build everything around your findings.

There is a big difference from Action and Smart Action.

Anyone can jump headfirst into a new thing and get “hustlin”. What separates the greats from the failures is the ability to give yourself a proper “20 study” of what is essential and focus on that.

IF you do, you find MORE success in LESS time by only working on what is essential and stop killing yourself working on the unnecessary.

It goes back to the old saying “Work Smarter, not Harder” which is 100% true. Don’t just be another hustler. This applies to everything (including social media).

Dont kill yourself with videos on the Tube, Pictures for the Gram, and Quips on the Tweets everyday. I’ve known millionaires that missed their kids entire childhood by not being there. Too busy “hustlin” to be a father or mother to their kids (who they claimed they did it for!!)

Unless you do an analysis of the essentials for your business (or anything else) it’s pointless to kill yourself doing that either EXCEPT when its a proven essential part of your plan.

CONCLUSION

Let’s conclude with this thought. That we all have a finite number of minutes each and every day.

You don’t have the time to hustle your life away. If you work 24/7 as a 110% hustler, you will only hurt yourself.

Hurt your body physically, hurt your emotional and spiritual self, and hurt your family and friends around you by not being there for them when you should have.

Time is fleeting, therefore spend it wisely by working hard only on what is really important to get things done quicker and with much more efficiancy.

If you really want to dive in deeper, head over to the website “theparetocode.com” for a free “20 study” analysis on yourself.

Not only will you learn how to properly do a Pareto Analysis, but you will learn how to break down your own life to what is truly life-changing essentials.

Also let me know what your currently “hustling” on that could use a paretocode overhaul, and any thoughts in the comments below.

Thanks for learning with Me, Mr Jones.

Until next time, and have a fantastic day!
